Ireland is enjoying a bit of a film and cinema buzz this week following Jessie Buckley’s Oscar win.
The Kerry woman became the first from these shores to pick up the Best Actress gong for her portrayal of Agnes in Hamnet, joining the likes of Daniel Day-Lewis, Brenda Fricker, Neil Jordan, Peter O’Toole, Cillian Murphy and Glen Hansard as top Irish talents to have tasted success at the Academy Awards.
