SEAI is Ireland's national sustainable energy authority. They work with householders, businesses, communities and government to create a cleaner energy future. With Ireland's energy targets in mind, SEAI encourages Irish citizens to contribute by offering retrofit grants, supports, and advice to enhance home energy efficiency. These grants, combined with the Vacant Property Refurbishment grant, make home renovations more affordable.
What are the SEAI Energy Grants and Upgrade Options?
SEAI offer three energy upgrade options:
1. National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme: provides homeowners with a complete energy solution for their home. This grant is managed by a One Stop Shop service provider, such as Electric Ireland Superhomes.
2. Better Energy Homes and Solar PV: supports homeowners who wish to manage your own home energy upgrade from planning to grant applications.
3. Warmer Homes Scheme: enables homeowners in receipt of some Government welfare payments to avail of fully funded energy upgrades to their homes.
What is a One Stop Shop Service Provider
A One Stop Shop provider offers homeowners all the services needed for a complete home energy upgrade under the One Stop Shop grant. A One Stop Shop provider must be approved and registered with the SEAI>
They look after all the key stages of a home energy retrofit and manage the entire process on your behalf, from retrofit design through to project completion and management of SEAI funding. Their skilled and experienced team engage leading contractors and retrofit specialists to offer you expert guidance through an often complex process. The ultimate aim is to provide homeowners with, when the retrofit is complete, the best home possible.
